It is time to free ourselves from poor body image, weight-obsession and the tyranny of so-called "health".  All bodies are worthy of love and respect, just as all people are worthy of love and respect.  People of all sizes can be healthy, happy, attractive, energetic, active and lead rich, full lives.

Re-claim your body and your power!  You deserve to have a wonderful life and to feel good about yourself exactly as you are now!

The goal of this website is to provide people with body positive resources, links, and information in order to promote body liberation, personal empowerment and social change.  Everyone deserves the right to take care of themselves, to make their own choices, to feel good about themselves, to live their lives and to pursue their dreams and happiness free from the damaging effects of prejudice.

Let it be known across the world that ALL people deserve respect, dignity, and full human rights regardless of any physical characteristics such as size, shape, color, gender, etc., or any life choices that don't harm others, such as gender identity, relationship preference, food and exercise choices.  It is time to celebrate diversity.  It is time to value and respect each individual's right to make their own choices.  It is time, right NOW, to hold love, compassion and peace for each other.

I use the word "fat" because I think it is the best descriptive word to describe a person who is fat.  "Overweight" and "obese" are made-up, insulting, and derogatory terms that imply disease and/or deformity.  Contrary to all of the current hype, driven by the multi-billion dollar diet, medical and fashion industries, fatness is NOT a disease nor an unattractive condition!  "Fat", on the other hand, is simply a description of size.  It is time to reclaim the word "fat" -- and to make it safe and okay to be fat.  "Fat" is not insulting or bad -- it is the reality of many people.  And fat is beautiful too!
